X pole Xpert Brass Problem
Posted by absolutsassy on July 28, 2012 at 3:05 amHello Everyone!
Just wondering if someone can help me with my pole problem.
My baby's stuck! my A pole's adjuster cover is stuck and won't budge no matter how we undo it. Now we can't adjust the height of my pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
Any suggestions??? 🙁
Would appreciate any feedback.
Thanks!

Occasionally when doing up the 3 adjuster locking screws, if the 1st screw is tightened completely – before the other 2 screws – the adjuster rod can offset slightly. This puts pressure on the adjuster cover and can make the cover difficult to tighten and then untighten. Always best to tighten 3x screws progressively.
Usually to release the cover just untighten the 3x adjuster locking screws, you can then release the pressure on the pole (turning the A-Pole Clockwise) and then untighten the cover. If it is very tight use grip gloves, as Becky suggests or get a rubber strap with a handle – for releasing oil filters or similar – this will usually untighten it as well.
After it is released, check the threads on the end of the pole – make sure they are clean and the same for the cover. Often dirt can acuse the cover to be tight. Also check the fit of the cover, with the A-Pole on its own upside down – not on its side – and see if it tightens easily.
If you still have a problem Please call your local X-Pole office who are there to help.
Finally, never force your adjuster cover on – if it won’t tighten, release the 3x adjuster screws, try it again, then progressively tighten the 3 screws to lock the adjuster.

Last night, we were able to remove the adjuster cover from the top where the screws are…

Now as you can see the lower half of the adjuster cover's stuck. The other side's over tightened. while the other has a small amount of space.
NO SPACE:

SMALL ALLOWANCE OF SPACE:

I'm frustrated coz I spent a good hour trying to figure out how to loosen it. 🙁

Hello Everyone!
Just wanted to give you an update on my pole dilemma.
After talking to X-Pole Tech, I was emailed by Clive Coote, Managing Director of X-pol UK and he was very accommodating. He forwarded my concern to Sarah Shen, Managing Director of X-pole Asia. We exchanged emails and I took pictures of my pole and gave her details of my concern. Like Clive, she was very accommodating and willing to help.
Finally she emailed me to try forcing the adjuster cover and if any part was damaged due to this, she will replace them. So with the help of my friends, we were able to remove the adjuster cover. However, my A pole was damaged, the O-ring destroyed, deep scratches on the pole, and the adjuster cover didn't fit well anymore (see photos from the link below).

With that, she replaced my whole A-pole free of charge. She got my shipping details and she sent the part (together with a 750mm extension I purchased from her), free of shipping!
Just got it today.

Props to Xpole UK's Clive Coote and Xpole Asia's Sarah Shen for giving excellent customer support. I really was resigned to the fact that my pole was forever damaged (which was sad because it's just 3 months old). But thanks for helping me out a!d providing great customer care! I'm so glad I bought an Xpole! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
