Xpert pole won’t spin :(
Posted by Sieira on January 27, 2014 at 9:41 pmHelp! My husband put my xpert xpole up and after he did that thing on the bottom it’s still not spinning 🙁 does it have to be broken Ina. Or is it cause it’s on carpet? UGH. I had a hard time getting him to put it up in the first place 🙁 what could it be?

I don’t have an Xpole so I can’t help but I’m excited you got him to put it up! Yeah! I’m sure someone will have a suggestion for what could be wrong. Wish I could help.

Thanks gray eyes. It’s so frustrating and he was getting madder cause he didn’t like the directions lol so when I said it was supposed to spin he got irritated. Just :/

Its not the carpet. It never hurts to take another look at the instructions & make sure it was installed correctly. Also are all 3 of the screws at the bottom loose enough? I know it sound simple but when I first put mine up I remember having to loosen them a little more cause it was’t spinning. Other than that I’m afraid I’m not much help.

If you have overtightened it totally it may not spin.
Check also the alignment of the pole to the bottom plate.

My Xpert Xpole is a bit temperamental sometimes too, and is on carpet as well. It usually spins but nearly always sticks, so isn’t a smooth spin.. and it often squeaks!
I find that I sometimes have to take it down and put it back up, and loosen it a bit sometimes as well..

Check the bearing in the dome. Mine was welded in crooked so no matter how i put my pole up it spins goofy. I would be more worried about it but I’m my pole room I’ve got a permanent mount that it spins great on. But, like i said, check the dome. If it’s crooked xpole May replace it.

Make sure it isn’t too tight against the ceiling. That’s what happened with mine.

Mine is on carpet too, but loosening it up from the ceiling a bit made it spin smoothly and it’s still tight enough to be secure. In 7 months since I got it, it hasn’t budged.

Oh shit…il have to check it maybe it is to tight to the ceiling. That could be it. This should be interesting cause il have to do it by myself.

Ok this is going to sound REALLY dumb and nobody believes me until I actually show them BUT…if I use my little L wrench the wrong way it will not spin. You have to put the SHORT end in and crank it a little ways at a time (because the long end hits the floor) in order to fully release the pins. If you stick the long end in and just twist it like a screw driver the pins will come out but the pole will not spin. Swear to God… I thought my pole was broken until I figured it out.

Lol I just used it as staic for now until.i have the patience or have one of my clients who pole dances can come over. She’s got 2. I’m done asking my husband for help lol.the food new so that with dry hands it works great! 🙂 and I inverted! Ha! 🙂

It’s not hard to loosen it on your own. Unscrew the cover at the bottom, loosen the 3 screws, turn the pole to loosen it just a bit (I only needed to loosen mine one turn). Make sure the flat parts of the threaded part of the pole are lined up with the screws again, tighten and replace the cover. There’s a lot of videos on youtube on xpole installation if you need to see what to do.
