Hey ladies– some of you had expressed interest in this, here is more info below:

Whether you’ve been teaching pole fitness classes for some time now or you’re just getting started, registering for an X-Pert Pole Fitness professional training is one of the best moves you can make. The first and only program of its kind, our 2-day, 16-hour training is accredited by AFAA and ACE – the top fitness certifying organizations – and endorsed by the PFA.

Co-developed and lead by top professionals in the fitness industry and pole community, including Kyra Johannesen, Marlo Fisken, and Michelle Stanek, the X-Pert Pole Fitness training breaks down each section of a pole fitness class to ensure that participants of all fitness levels can experience the class in a safe and effective manner.  With X-Pert, you’ll learn everything you need to know to deliver the best pole fitness workout possible, from the most basic of concepts like how to properly setup a pole to dance choreography to exercise science.

Plus, you’ll receive 1.6 ACE and 10 AFAA continuing education credits, a detailed Instructor Manual with complete photo library of pole maneuvers and comprehensive class outlines, a free X-Pert tee, and exclusive discounts from on products from our partner, X-Pole.

With the X-Pert Pole Fitness training, you’ll learn and master:
    • How to set the stage for the best overall member experience, including studio and pole setup, music selection, lighting choices, and more.
    • The exercise science behind each pole technique.  Pole techniques include standing strength-based exercises, climbing and inversion maneuvers, dance choreography, and core training.
    • How to ensure that participants of all fitness levels experience class in a safe and effective manner.
    • How to construct a complete pole fitness class design from warm up to cool down.

Upcoming X-Pert Pole Fitness Professional Trainings:
    San Francisco – Crunch New Montgomery – March 26 & 27
    Los Angeles – BeSpun – April 2 & 3
    New York – Crunch E. 59th Street, April 9 & 10
*The training will take place from 9am – 5pm each day.

The cost of registration is $599.  Registration is simple.  You’ll just need to complete a registration form and provide a credit card as the form of payment.

To give registrants the best possible experience, the training is designed to accommodate up to 2 people per pole.  That said, space is limited and the trainings are filling up quickly.  I encourage you to register sooner rather than later.

Also for your reference, I have included an outline of what to expect during the 2-day workshop.

Just adding, this program will be great, not just for instructors but even for polers who are looking to further themselves in their skills/techniques. 4 hours of pole and 4 hours of lecture, spread out each day. I may consider a future cert class from them, especially since I teach friends and cousins sometimes.

Hello all! I am one of the Master Trainers leading this certification. You may request to host this certification at your studio, or wait until one comes to your area.

New York is about 3 1/2 hours away from me… Do you automatically host the certification at the body and soul studio?

I met Lauren and many of the instructors of this course at the Pole Convention and they are great. For clarification, the XPert training isn't the first training that was approved by AFAA and the American Council on Exercise and the PFA. Discoveries Pole Dance has a fabulous one that provides 1.2 ACE Credits and 10.5 AFAA credits. It is very strong in regards to exercise progressions, anatomy, safety, spotting, etc. PoleMoves also has a training that provides 1.6 ACE continuing education credits and 13.25 AFAA credits. The Pole Fitness Association mentioned that there are twelve certifications that are approved by the PFA. I don't know how many of them provide continuing education. For those of us who have to accrue continuing education credits, I am thankful to have numerous trainings to choose from so that I do not have to attend a training that I am not interested in, i.e. STEP.

Planning to get teacher training because soon i will be opening my own studio :)….My question is, If it is possible for me to get teacher training?. I am from Philippines. Me and hubby are planning to go Chicago this year just wondering if there is xpole teacher training in chicago. thank you! suggestions is appreciated 🙂

I just checked the X-Pert certification website and they have a couple dates scheduled in Asia this year. You should maybe look into those: http://www.xpertpolefitness.com/#/training. Another training program worth considering is ElevatED. It’s from the same ladies who developed the original X-Pert certification program, but with an updated and more in-depth curriculum. Good luck with your new studio!

ElevatED is based out of NYC, but they travel all over the place teaching it. You’ll have to check their website for training dates and locations: http://elevateducation.com/
