Xpole Xpert Stripped Adjuster Rod Threads…HELP!
I finally got my pole down and realized the damage on the adjuster rod threads. I tried to use WD-40 to rework the threads and it is not working. Any advice on how to fix stripped threads? I still can not get a a hold of xpole to see if i can get a replacement part.https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif I have only had my pole for 3 weeks and have only used it once or twice….

You can try finding a machine shop and see if They can rethread the piece for you. I do know that you can get a new piece too as my bottom bearing was seized and I got a new threaded piece when I got my pole. Typically the way that damage happens is when you tighten the pole and the hex screws are not aligned In the channels.

It looks as if you only have a small amount of localised thread damage where the locking screws have spread the crests of the theads. Most machine shops would be able to do it quite easily with a thread chaser. The thread is 1.5mm ISO metric. Being an engineer (that poles for fitness) I often repair damage like that with a small triangular file (when I havn't got the correct chaser) you just need to be patient and only file off the damaged thread crests.

If this is a 45mm(TG) I have that part. I think it’s the A pole, whichever has the adjuster rod. I accidently got it when I ordered my 50mm, and Xpole sent me the right one in 50mm. But they didn’t want the wrong part back.

Oh, bummer. I wish I could be more useful! It would have been a quick fix, and I still have half of an Xpole in my closet, lol. It’d be one hell of a burglar beater I guess 😀

Ouch! And you just got your pole too! Thanks for posting the pics cause I wouldn't know what i looked like. I usually get Heidi when I call Xpert
