ive had my pole up (it’s on a joist don’t worry!) for about 2-3 weeks now and it seems tight enough but I can pull the pole with my hand and it will do a slight movement and return , like a shake, ykwim? The dome and bottom does NOT move.

    Is that kinda “give” normal?

I’ve seen poles that “give” a bit when pressure is applied. I think it depends on the height of your pole. Even in a few of Veena’s videos she’ll do an invert and the pole shakes so hard I get nervous. Not sure how much “give” is appropriate but depending on the length and type it can be normal. However, I have the Xpole Xpert as well ranging from 7-9 ft and mine doesn’t shake at all, so again, I’m not sure. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.

No that was helpful I appreciate it. I had to get an extension for my pole, only a small one but I suppose you can say my ceilings are taller. General consensus from my pole friends is they experience the same. I’m always wary and check and tighten my pole every use, and it seems tough regardless.
