Xpole extension issues
Hi there,
I just bought one of the original model x poles (2nd hand), and I’m a little wary of the installation. When I don’t use any extensions, I have to unscrew the screw a good 8 or 9 inches to get a decent amount of tightness, which doesn’t feel particularly safe to me. There’s more than a hand width above the dome. However, with the smallest extension, I simply can’t get the top onto the bottom (it looks like it would be the perfect height when assembled, but there’s no extra space to get the top bit high enough to then screw it on). I can’t assemble it horizontal and then turn it vertical because of the dome. Has anyone else experienced this or got a solution?Before you ask, I’m afraid I can’t actually measure my room height because my housemate lost both my tape measures 🙁

Have you tried calling xpole? There are very few here that have been around long enough to even know there was another style of xpole.

I have a new x pole straight from the factory and have the EXACT same issue. I even bought the extension but you cant lean the pole up to the ceiling. Right now I just have it without the extension and screwed all the way up. I believe my ceilings are 9 foot.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your installation. We would strongly recommend measuring the height of your room prior to installation, as the height would dictate the number and type of extensions you would need to use.
