Hi Ladies got a question. My xpole fell crashing to the floor (no injuries) but my dome edge is bent and the bearing unit came out center of dome and there are 4 hairline cracks on the center silver area of dome…is it ruined or can it be salvaged? Gonna call Xpole tomorrow and send pics..I’m so blowed!!

Oh dear! Glad you’re ok, I couldn’t tell you if it’s safe but let us know what xpole says! 🙂

I personally would not trust it to be safe with a dent like that nor a crack, but that is me. Sorry this happened to you!

Just get a permanent ceiling mount…..that is the only way I trust my XPoles. HATE the domes……

There is no way I would use a dome… I watched enough pole-fail on youtube. I use a permanent ceiling mount.

I’ve used domes for a long time, as long as you install the pole correctly you are fine. I do prefer the permanent mount for quick set up and take down though, the mount also allows the pole to spin so smoothly! 👍

Ladies I just want to add this fall was not due to pole slipping because of dome..it was purely operator…she was using my pole and did not tighten the 3 hex screws at the bottom to lock pole..therfore as she did spins it was unwinding from the top.

Hey All! Mochakat I am so glad we were able to help you resolve the issue. It sounds like the pole was definitely not secured into place.
The domes are actually SUPER secure and the X-pert pole is rated for 300lbs + so you are safe and absolutely secure with the dome. It is crucial to tighten the screws properly, do a few test spins, and make sure that you have enough pressure on the ceiling without over tightening your pole. It is your responsibility to maintain your pole and be safe with your set up.

A block mount is always a great option if you are able to drill, and certainly adds to the stability. Thanks!!
