Hi! I'm new here and new to poling! Just got my xpert and have been trying to put it up, but have some problems. I'm using the 250 mm extension, and when I try to tighten the joist between the extension and the B-pole there is a little (maybe 1 mm) gap between the extension and the b-pole. The parts are aligned and the xjoints locking pins are in the right place. I don't know what Im doing wronghttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif Please help!

Hi and welcome! I have an X but did not have the issue you are describing.  Can you take a picture and post it? That may help those more experienced with Xpole. I would also email the picture to xpole customer service and inquire with them.

Do they spread aprt when you open the joint? Are they flush together when the joint is not expanded? I had that happen when I first got mine and it was with the extension portion as well. I was just not very good at expanding the joint and keeping the extension and B pole together. The pieces fit together just fine when I put them together, but when I started trying to expand the joint,  the poles separated. It just took some tinkering with, but I finally got it. It helps to keep the pole on the ground (don't hold it up or anything.)

Also, you may be expanding the joint too quickly. You literally should only be expanding the joints in tiny tiny tiny little fractions per hole (in order to expand it evenly.) Seriously, if you don't do this with your main pole too, you will be on the phone with x pole with rotated and stuck joints. I'm talking, once it moves the tinest degree, pull the hex key out and do the other hole a tiny degree, and repeat. It takes a while, but it is worth it in the end cuz your joint will be expanded evenly, and you won't experience any issues in the end. Once it is expanded and your pole is up, re check them then crank those suckers tight!!! Then check them all the time (along with the other screws.)

Thank you! We seem to have had the same problem! I finally suceeded in putting the together without any gap between, but I'm gonna take your advice and reinstall the whole pole expanding the joints more slowly as I don't want to deal with rotated joints. Thank you so much!

Also im wondering if the pole should feel a little wobbly? The upper dome is tight and not moving but the pole itself feels a little wobbly…

No, it shouldn't. Mine feels solid. Did you give it a good gorilla shake? Make sure all the screws are lined up where they are supposed to be. If you have an xpert. The 3 screws at the base of the A pole tightening mechanism cannot be on the threaded part of the pole. I try to keep them far away from the threads. Those need to be VERY tight as well, otherwise the pole will start to turn a little bit when you spin.

Thank you so much for your help! I had my hubby take it down and put it up for me today. Now the pole feels sturdy and good! I did Veenas strength lessons today, guessing I'm gonna be sore tomorrow! I'm already totally addicted, i even dreamt about poling last night https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

"Gorilla shake"… seriously Sensualscimitar! It took me a while to feel comfie on my X Pole but I love it. I bet you will be sore tomorrow Vaudeville! Veena's lessons are great and there is so much to aspire to! I do strength training twice a week because my body needs a little extra time to recover.

Ok… now that was funny!!! 90 year old with back problems?!? Most days I feel that way too. I thought I was fit too and then I got a reality check from the pole! I am slowly and surely getting stronger but this is a journey not a race!!!
