I’m thinking about finally dropping the cash on an Xpole instead of using my broke college student homemade pole (not that it hasn’t served me well, but I think it may be time for an upgrade…) but I would want to put it in my bedroom that has carpeted floors and I’m wondering how stable it would be. I’ve seen a lot of people with videos dancing in carpeted rooms but I feel like it would be more stable if it was on a hard floor, and I’m pretty sure putting it in the living room right when you walk into my house might be a bad conversation piece. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif Does anyone have their Xpole on carpeted floors? If you’ve moved it from a carpeted surface to a non-carpeted like hard wood floor, does it make a difference in the performace of it or is it just as stable? I just want to know as much info as possible before I drop five paychecks on this thing https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

My X has only been used on carpet https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif It wont change the stability at all. You can also learn more about the X pole in our articles section.

Have you considered platinum stages? They have a pole that is mounted on a 4×4 stage, and is about 7 ft tall. It’s free standing, very stable as long as you weigh down the stage with sandbags as recomended. They come in many colors, materials, etc. I love mine, it’s the centerpiece of my bedroom. The pole is removable, so you could use the stage as a coffee table if you want.(Veena, sorry to recommend something you don’t sell).

I have my xpole on a rug, which would be even less stable than a carpet- and it’s just fine. Inverts and everything, and even my boyfriend has played around on it and it hasn’t budged at all. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Thanks for all the answers everyone! I knew I had seen videos of the Xpole being used on carpeting but I just wanted some firsthand experiences. As far as the platinum stages I have actually seen those and some of them are really cool but I have a feeling I would totally fall off that little platform and break an ankle…I know it’s not that far to the ground but trust me I’m sure I’d find a way to accomplish an injury anyway!

I don’t want the Xpole on carpet. Yes it is less stable than a carpet so it is not prefer here in our home since we have some dogs here. I just love a rug in my room and it is good for colder seasons.

Congrats on getting a new pole!

Mine is on carpet and never had a problem – you should check it periodically- especially before spinny activity – because the carpet will depress some.

I have the star pole and it’s great because you can put it up anywhere but it’s also $600 – half the price of an X. If you don’t NEED a stage pole I wouldn’t spend the money on a stage.

Mine’s been moved around all over the place, it’s been on all sorts of surfaces and i’ve never noticed any difference. It’s on carpet at home and i’ve never had any problems with stability at all https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

My pole is on carpet and as far as stability goes, never had a problem. Just ensure that you check before you star and periodically throughout the session. My only gripe about being on carpet is, because I leave my pole up 24/7/52 that when I took it down recently to decorate I notice it has left a very visible footprint in the carpet which would appear to be permanent……but as I need a new carpet I am not too concerned. But it does make me think about where I am going to put it when I have a new carpet.

Stages are great, but they would leave a bigger footprint, and yes I agree with you, they may not be high, but they are high enough to fall off!

it’s going to leave a circle in the carpet from the pressure of the base.
    but who cares?!?!
