I was on the verge on givin up with this one aswel hun as my fear was learnin right back. I’ve found it easier to hold my ankle of the leg tht was crossed over and also th quicker u go back the less it’s hurts ur thighs. I also noticed doin a pole-sit and Sittin for as long as u can also helps with gettin use to the pain. hope this helps hun, but keep at it and don’t give up as its a great feeling of accomplishment when u do finally get it. xx

A mat was the best help for getting it. The first time you lean back you can keep your chin tucked so mentally you know if you happen to fall, it'll be on your shoulders and not your head (hopefully with a mat). Then as you get comfortable with your legs holding you, you can arch the back. Nobody has to see those first few attempts.
