Ajrt2118: The cold is definitly something I considered during the winter at least. Thankfully I have a good forced air heater in the garage. I usually keep the garage around 60 deg F and then bump it up to ~75 deg F 5-10 minutes before I pole, and then turn it down as I warm up. Another consideration with garages is that they often have ventalation near the floor so you have to make sure that that is closed while you pole or the bottom of your pole won't get warm.
SpecialLadyAlways: Thanks for trying to comment! Other people have told me about having issues about commenting as well…I think Google owns blogger.com so then are pretty exclusive on who comments…I'll look into it. Please feel free to send me a message on here! I'd love to hear what you have to say or ask!!!

Also, you can make crash mats the same way as I made the large mats for the floor of the garage…just use smaller dimensions and use velcro to connect the pieces around the pole!

I had priced out the materials to make a good pole mat and found that it would cost me nearly as much as the mightygrip mats plus the effort involved. I've used the MG mats and really thought they were great – the yoga direct mats are awesome too but I am pretty sure they don't make them anymore.
Try ebay? I'll end up purchasing through MG as I love their company and their products – I've always gotten AMAZING customer service and have never been disappointed by anything I've bought.

I bought 4 of the mats from yoga direct. They are very good as far as protecting you and keeping you safe from falls but unfortunately, the zippers quickly broke and the seams rip. They use to offer a cover for them that they marketed for putting over the mats when you are wearing heels. that cover would probably help decrease the wear an tear on the mat.

I’ve been selling Pole Crash Mats in Canada for over almost 2 years! There is no shipping on the mats, they do take a while to ship as I don’t direct send the mats! I wouldnt sell mats that were not good quality! I now don’t guarantee set times/dates to have them shipped but an estimated time frame! You CANNOT make Crash Mats over 4 inches thick for under $200 ( proper foam density and material with logos etc.. ) I’ve had them designed and manufactured and the costs are way too high unless you are making in VERY high volume! 5 inch thickness and 60 inch diameter Mats are $299 ( shipping included )! FYI 🙂

When I first decided to buy a yoga direct crash mat, I made my decision based off of some good reviews (I hadn't seen the bad reviews at the time) and the price since budget played a big roll in getting a crash mat. Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I'm hoping I made an ok purshase. I just bought mine off of amazon.
