What do you do with the negitive comments? I know Empy and I talked about it briefly on another thread.
I normally just delete them and delete the email. I hate negitive comments, constructive critism is ok – thats helpful.
I havent gotten any recently until now. I basically told the person if they didnt have anything nice to say – then dont say it (I know my mom taught me that!). The person is pretty downright hurtful. I took down the first comment, but left the new one up. I will get the occasional fan who backs me up.
This person has made me mad enough that I want to pull a Jay and Silent Bob from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (last scene with the Stroke 9 Song)

I only block them if they get out of hand (excessive nasty comments, nasty pm’s etc).
I left his 2nd comment up, someone backed me up and I havent heard from the orgin. person since. I wonder if that worked.

I was on youtube yesterday just looking for negative comments on pole videos. I would give their comment a thumbs down and mark it as spam if it was bad enough. LOL! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif People like that shouldn’t even be allowed on youtube. I didn’t even know the user could delete the comments. There are so many posted still. They should check on that and delete those people!!!!!!! Is there an option to view your comments before you allow them to post like in Myspace?? I am new to youtube.

I did see your comments and thank you! I totally agree w/you, why waste your time doing that. I could understand if I did a move wrong and I could use some pointers but to totally call me out b/c im fat – thats a different ballgame.
@luvlee – you should be able to approve comments before they post. I had a friend who did it that way b/c she didnt want her work to find out about it.

Unfortunately some people have nothing better to do than criticize others. So sorry this happened to you. I’ve had quite a few negative comments on my vids and I have a stalker that always flags them as innapropriate. I just delete the posts and block them. Guess I figure they’re looking for a response and I don’t have the time or energy to give them one lol. Just keep posting and try to ignore the bad comments. I’m gonna add you if that’s ok? I have to approve all comments before they are posted…I’ve blocked everyone except friends. I was slammed and trashed on youtube because of poling at my age…I didn’t take it personal…we are after all a country of free speech…I just choose not to put up with it so I pre screen and block…works for me! BTW UR VIDS ARE AWESOME!!

If its a video I know some may have a problem with I change the setting to comments for friends only…the problem with that is you still have to see all comments to approve them, which is still hurtful. YT is just annoying, either my music is taken away or some loser flags me or I have rude comments. I had my "Carol of the Bell" video removed for "inappropriate" content….please https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif I have a new hooping vid I wanna post but I’m not sure if I’ll YT it or not, because I my belly skin folds up and hangs over, I’m sure some idiot will have a hay day with that.

I’m sorry you’ve been having problems with trolls…generally, I go by the "Don’t feed the trolls" idea, and if I find some on the other forums I visit, I just don’t bother with it. I’d say…there are always going to be people unhappy with whatever you do. You could be as good and petite as Felix, or as amazing and intense as some of the others I’ve seen, and you would still get negative, stupid comments. I’ve seen a lot of comments to girls who do pole dancing (or really, any dancing) about stupid guys wanting to "tap that" or how the girls are strippers, but they’re just ignorant, and they don’t understand why we do the things we do. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif
So, personally, if I get any negative comments from people, I simply ignore it. I don’t need their garbage if they’re having a bad day, just the same as they don’t need mine.
Perhaps I’m a bit more zen about people than most…I’m pretty understanding about it, most of the time.
Then there are the times I rip someone a new one!

Veena – I havent had problems w/the music yet. I did get an email about my Foo Fighters one and they said nothing was to be done on my end but I know Loverracing25 has had lots of problems w/it. Too bad theres no way to appeal our videos being banned.

If you are flagged (its just a button they push) then you must be over 18 to view the video, it blocks the vid from minors. Some moron went on a flagging spree last year on my old channel. The video I just had removed was NOT DUE to music and there was NOTHING remotely inappropriate about it I have NO clue why it was removed…it was this video that YT took down.

Yep as I said I get lots of comments about my age and my size so I only allow friends to comment without approval.
Of course just seeing the comments can be upsetting but I’ve also noticed that the rude comments always come from people who do not pole dance, who 99% of the time never upload ANYTHING of their own but only link other’s vids, and also I don’t think I’ve ever had a rude comment from anyone over the age of 25. (though I know that many people under 25 are also repectful and nice)
I usually go and look at their page just to put their comment in perspective. If they have mostly links to anime videos or other are obsessed with linking videos they found from others, then I realize that their opinion is worthless anyway.
Now if Alethea made a negative comment on one of my vids, I’d feel HORRIBLE. But of course, Alethea would never do something like that to anyone because she is a good person. When you look at it that way, it makes the other’s negativity look less meaningful.
Wanna laugh? The last negative comment I got came from someone who had this in their "about me" section of their Youtube account:
"I am a good person, very friendly, i like help the other people"
What was the comment? "F*ck You!"…that’s all…just that.
This from a girl who is supposedly 12 years old…

I guess for me, while I haven’t gotten any negative comments so far, I set it up so i don’t have to deal with them.
I don’t like to cause controversy so I set my comments to be approved, after time I will take my older videos and make them private, etc.
