So does anyone use grip gloves for pole fitness? My pole is new and I have no grip on it none what so ever and I was looking ways to get around this problem.

I’ve always heard if you keep practicing, your grip will strengthen, and that gloves will hinder “real” grip strength. Everyone is different though. I know plenty of dancers who use gloves, so go ahead and try some out. There is also things like dry hands to make your hands more tacky.

I had some mighty grip gloves. They really helped me learn tricks like Ayesha.. it gave me those extra 2 or three seconds to figure out where my legs were supposed to be before my grip would normally give out. I lost one a while back and don’t miss them.. so I would say for an intermediate learning something new on a slippery pole, they’re good 🙂

Is it just your hands or do you have grip issues all over? I’m not a big fan of always using grip aid but this mix really helps me with chrome poles or very cold poles in winter. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jgvvc2uvcFw
