    Help!
i had nice golden highlights and i went in to get them redone last but i walked out with a compleatly diffrent look, over processed bleached tips and hardly any highlights on top. i hated the look so i dyed my hair dark brown. How long must i wait to go back and get the highlights i love?

I would personally wait at least a month to have time to deep condition and do protein treatments. I have had a really bad situation of extreme processing where I had to go back within a week but my hair ended up super fried. I had split ends up to my roots and ended up having to cut off about 5 inches because it looked so ugly but at least it didn't fall out. It really depends on how concerned you are with the texture of your hair and how much of a difference in dark to light you are going.

My fiance does hair and he will bleach up to once a week but I don't recommend that because of what Cherished said! I had the same over processing experience. Spend a few bucks on a salon brand deep conditioner and wait at least 4 weeks. Good luck I hope it turns out!! xo

Sally Beauty used to make a product called 3-Step Emergency Repair that was the best product out there for overprocessed hair, however they no longer sell it.  I am not sure why.  I would look at a protein filler treatment to help restore the bonds and as Glitter said, a deep conditioner.
