anybody have the mighty grip gloves and ankle grips?
Posted by mermaid21 on January 10, 2015 at 2:52 amI’m thinking about getting these for more advanced tricks for NO slippage but I’m reading on some reviews that the tracks rip off after a few uses? Anybody have these?

I have the gloves and the tacks haven’t come off at all. I’ve had them for 6+ months but I don’t wear them that often. I love them, when I need them.

Exactly what pixie said!
I also have the ankles. They aren’t as anti stick as the gloves (those are like glue) but I really wanted them for protection as my feet were getting so beat up and bruised.

I got them being a pole cleaner for Midwest. I used the anklets just because I had to climb multiple times in one evening and they saved my shins. They are better for working on static holds or for using while the pole is in spin mode. I think people rip them when they try to do spins with them. Also earlier versions did not have the best stitching in the world. With these you really kind of want to go smaller with the sizing. This will keep the material tighter on your body which lessens them moving around a lot.

I love the gloves. I used to use them all the time. dont need them quite as much now because Im using a different anti perspirant that is working for me. use the tack gloves for spin pole. no my tack has not come off at all. Use the non tack gloves for static pole. yes those rip apart after two months, but I love them so much that I keep getting more. the non tack gloves are about 18$.I figure 9$ a month isnt bad for grip that actually works so I dont mind replacing them every 2 months. Yes, it would be nice if they lasted longer. But when I was wearing them- I was using them several hours every week and showing them no mercy. they are worth it. I keep them as back up now in case my tite grip and dry hands fail me that day. I always have them available for performances. I have heard several people complain about the anklets ripping the first time they use them but I havent used them myself. I actually have seen it happen in the studio a couple of times.

I have and like the gloves with tack. I don’t use them often but when I do they’re comfortable and work well. No problems with tack coming off. Also just got the Trixie toes with tack and the liquid motion knee pads with tack. The Trixie toes are much more comfortable than what I was using before and I love the knee pads – I’ve been having some knee pain when kneeling and these are really helping that.

I have both and both have torn to shreds when they were fairly new. Good idea but there is so much pressure on them , they just break and tear. I have had 2 pairs of gloves and two pairs of the ankle protectors.

This is a great thread and we at Mighty Grip appreciate all your feedback and input; we manufacture all of our products for your protection. Do not ever forget, you are practicing and participating in a “Contact Sportâ€. The fewer injuries and bruises you receive, the more you will be able to continue to participate.
Gloves and anklets can be a problem as they work using friction and tension.
Yes, they can rip when used frequently and if they rip quickly we will replace any item at no charge to you.
For those that wish to use our protective gear for longer periods of time and under competitive or longer training conditions/schedules, we do offer stronger (heavy duty) designs of both our gloves and Ankle Protectors.
We have also just introduced gloves for use with Lyra, silks, aerial cubes and other Aerial Fitness apparatus. We are constantly looking for new designs to help protect specific areas of the body. If you have a need, you can be sure there are others that also will have a similar need. Just let us know so our designers can come up with a garment to help the situation.

I really like the wrist bands with the Velcro without tact. It would be nice if there were ones that were just a bit longer.

The longer wrist wraps should be available in about 10-12 days.
We made these a bit shorter keeping in mind that a woman’s wrist is narrower than a man’s.
You are not the only one that has asked for a longer wrist support. Just a keep an eye on the web site.
Thank you,
