    hi,
my name is Misha. I’m from Toronto and have my first pole dancing lesson in 2 hours. My interest in pole dancing began with some news show and didn’t stop after that. I’ve spent a LONG time on youtube finding videos and showing them to everyone including coworkers and even my mom.

I am going to buy a pole (and am freakin excited about it) in a month or two – once I move out of this apartment because the ceilings are too high.

I’m really excited to start pole dancing because it looks like it is going to be a really great way to work out, have fun and blow off steam. I also don’t get to dance nearly enough so I’m looking forward to this A LOT.

I’ll let you gals know how it went later tonight though I’m sure that it will be much better than I even think it will be.

    – misha.

Welcome to the site Misha! Hope you had a blast at your first class? Once you move and get your pole you’ll be wishing you still had those tall ceilings! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

the lesson was REALLY fun. The instructor was great and did a really good job of keeping us all relaxed and motivated. We did about 40 minutes of warm up and work out and then 20 minutes on the pole. She was really positive about everything and it made me really happy.
I was sore and tired after but was worried about the next day (Thursday). I was really sore on Thursday but holy. Today I am so sore that I’m glad I have that many days to recover between classes. I know that my body is getting back into shape and getting used to this exercise but ouch.

I totally can’t wait to get my own pole so I can practice everything all the time. Like right now.

Aaw I’m glad you enjoyed your lesson, haha don’t worry about the soreness it’s always like that at the start. Try to do some gentle stretches every day between lessons to keep your body in shape.

How high are your ceilings? Are you thinking about getting an x-pole when you move? I had to buy the 500mm extension because I had the same problem with high ceilings, it was expensive but worth it ;]

Yay! glad you enjoyed your lesson…but jeez what a long warm up…hope there was some floor work in there! Not much time on the pole..but just think how sore you would be if it had been longer than 20 min??:)
