I have the xpole brass, I can only use it when the weather and body is really hot. Titanium gold is the best all sound pole for me too. Keep in mind xpole stated here that they have a new formula for the brass poles now. Lyme, PS brass is different than cooked old brass, not sure about the new brass.

Well if I don’t like it I will just sand it down and spray paint it! Lol…..

Lyme – I’ve only used chrome or TG for X-Pole, and I have the same slippery/weather-related issues most people have with chrome. Haven’t used TG enough to have an opinion. Idk if X-Pole brass is different from PS. I just know I love my brass and it works best for me.

so my husband says it wud b a bad idea to screw my mynx into the stage as the xpole is made to screw into it and the mynx isnt. he knows more than me! so guess i will for sure be coating the brass then gettin a 40 chrome to coat. thnx all for ur comments!

I could have sworn that XPole recently posted here about how to polish/sand your brushed pole to get a satin finish but I can't seem to find it. Not sure if it was for the SS or brass.
-
if u find it chem let me know! cud i sand it down with paper a bit? wud that make a diff without ruining it?

it's probably the weather. I suggest using your LM for a while, then when it warms up going back to the brass stage.
You CAN take your brass in somewhere and get it polished up (call ex pole to find out how.)
Also, if you get the 40 brass in the U.S. it is going to be the higher shine version. They just changed it, but they said they kept it as the brushed brass in Australia.
Call x pole and make sure the 40s are high shine polished in the U.S.

is high shine polished more grippy ag?? i still think i just may go with chrome then pc it since i never had trouble with weather change with the mynx
-
also using the lm isnt an option unless i screw it into the stage which my husband says no to, we have moved and higher ceilings here, the mynx in just under 7 ft
-
High shine is much grippier than the brushed. I find it greabs me under all weather conditions. It is also a tab gripier than PC (to me.) Call x pole, find out how to get it polished, contact a person to get an estimate and get it polished first. You might find you like the brass better with a high shine than powder coating.

does your pole look matte like the one on the left?

My brass is the one on the right.

yes def looks exactly like the left, so i need it polished then??
-
i just talked to xpole she suggested brasso to polish it and put a heater in the room. gonna try that if that doesnt work powdercoat it is
-
don't sand it. that will just make it scratched. You can try brasso and see if that works. If it doesn't make it SHINY, call a metal shop and find out where you can go to get it polished. I really think you should get it polished before attempting a powder coat.
