There are a couple at http://www.worlddancenewyork.com I haven’t viewed them myself, but I own a lot of World Dance New York instructional and workout DVDs and they have yet to disappoint me even once. I am also aware that Princess Farhana has a fan dancing instructional called ‘Fan-tastic!’ and a burlesque workout by the name of ‘Hot Moves for Cool Chicks’ but I don’t know the quality of these at all other than what other reviewers have posted. If it means anything to you, she is primarily an accomplished belly dancer. Which reminds me, Dolphina (who is also a bellydancer) has a better rated dvd, ‘Goddess Workout: Cardio Burlesque’. I Hope this helps to point you in right the direction a bit.

I’m toying with maybe getting Bombshell Betty’s dvd. It looks like it might be good https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Michelle L’amour is an incredible burlesque dancer from the Chicago area.
While taking her classes in person cannot be duplicated, I have both of her burlesque instructional DVDs and they are great.
You can buy them at http://www.ostrich.com/collectable/Michelle-L-Amour-Feather-Boa-Fan-DVD?
The fan dance DVD is great but it’s mostly about moving for the fan dance of course. Her feather boa DVD is the one that will show you a lot of good moves.

I have the bombshell Betty dvd’s they are okay – she explains/teaches well and they are shot pretty well – she is cute and fun – but they are really boring..you could probably find stuff on You Tube that is the same and free…i wouldn’t spend the money…don’t think it’s really worth it.

Haven’t heard too much positive feedback on the flirtygirl fitness, what was your experience? Hoopnotica has a new third level DVD out recently, I’m wondering if it’s any good. But there is so much on youtube, it’s hard to justify the cost anymore. I kinda wish I could rent all these DVDs first. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_moneyeyes.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif

I really enjoyed Dophina’s Cardo Burlesqe DVD. She has such a cute, sweet personality. I subscribe to her newsletter and I’m always uplifted when I read it. Flirty Girl Fitness was dissapointing for me. It’s all choreography-based rather than move-based and I find the routines lack sensuality and artistry.

I used to be in a burlesque dance troupe, where we really tried to keep to old school burlesque standards by incorportating humor with sex, parodys and stripteases with exaggerated movements and facial expressions and lots of outlandish, exaggerated costumes…..I’d try looking up old burlesque stars like bettie page, lily st. cyr, tempest storm, gypsy rose lee and sally rand…..for people today who are true to burlesque i’d definitely check out dita von teese’s book to see how it’s really done. for me, when/if i’d be stripping for a guy, i try to do the least amount of movement in the most amount of time…with shock!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

(that’s from the Rocky Horror Picture Show, btw)
Best compliment I ever got as a dancer was when a veteran told me "Honey, you remind me of Gypsy Rose Lee" and tipped me a $20!! And he’d seen her back in the day!!
Sacshi, you know are absolutely right! It’s all about humour, exaggeration, sex and TEASE!!! MAN, I’d love to have seen that troupe!!
