Did u ever see the episode of Jersey Shore where The Situation jumps on Snookis pole and it tips over? That is what the Carmen Electra pole will do. It is more of a dance prop, not made for any type of tricks.

That's what I thought just wanted to check with you ladies 🙂

I bought an Electra pole first. My floor lamp was more stabile. Sent it back and bought an xpole. Didnt even wanted to touch that unstable electra! 🙂

I bought a Carmen Electra pole too…I haven't put it up yet I wanted it as a second pole since my beginner pole was a spinny. And you are a tiny thing that's kinda scares me about the CE pole. I got it also because my spinny is a 45mm and I am so skinny its hard for me to get a good grip to climb ect and was hoping a little bigger diamenter would help.

Maybe you'll like it.. It didnt work for me. But promise me, that you will be carefull on it.. At least in the beginning 🙂

well i got it to practice hard moves on becaue it was static but trust me I will be careful because I am not about to mess upp and have to wait almost a year again… besides btween the pole and the metal in my hip and leg I can't have more more metal to deal with…lol But I will probably never be able to invert anyway because of my hands so I at least don't have to worry about that and I have learned not to jump on the pole which is how I originally thought you guys got on there….lol So I will see how it feels. Thing is I won't sell it or give it away because I don't want anyone else to get hurt either.

The Carmen Electra Pole has a way to screw the top into the ceiling- so as long as you can get the stud and screw it in it'll be stable enough. It's good for practicing static moves like inverted V and handstands and things like that. Even spins!- IF it is screwed into something firm. If it's not screwed in, the pressure easily can slide out.
The other main issue I had with this pole was that it has an adjustable top part which screws out to reach the cieling height. This adjustable part often loosens up while I'm on the pole and it's pretty obnoxious to have to push it back down.
If she's serious about a pole- CE is NOT what I'd go for, but if she's a beginner and just wants somethin she can put up and swing around for party guests or husband It'll work.
And yea. Totally saw that jersey shore episode… I think it was some guy that Snookie brought home tho. Either way soooo funny.

Ferris – Youre the first I've heard say that the electra works while screwed in. All it did for me was ruin my ceiling :/ I really wouldnt even do a fireman on it..

one of my students has one (she got it long before taking lessons with me) and has it screwed into the ceiling and it still wants to get tighter or looser and won't really take any weight. I would stay far away from them.

I fisrt bought one of these and it was a little scary. I could do beginner spins on it and it would wiggle quite a bit at the "seams." I took it back and bought an xpole.

Friend of mine have one, honestly it wasnt that bad… Can do mostly everything on it, just not lets say i wouldnt do a reverse grab, for statics moves its ok

DO NOT get a carmen electra pole. It was my first pole & it was horrible even screwed into the ceiling it still would come a loose & it cut up my hands something awful everytime i used it. I had a peekaboo too. That is another rip off pole.
Save for an xpole or lil mynx its worth it in the end.
