I wonder if it would be possible to combine glitch mob style dance moves with pole moves?
The band that comes to mind is Zed's Dead. Would it be sexy or sensual or just kinda stupid looking? Any thoughts? Thanks, D.M.

I was not familiar with Zed's Dead so I youtubed them. I think it would work, nice and slow, especially the one called "you and I". I like it! Really tho, it's whatever you like to move to I'm told! Try it and see.. 🙂

There are aa LOT of dancers who use dubstep. I think there was even a challenge a few months back. If you go to videos, just the challenges, then scroll to December you will find lots of videos. I remember Becca Butcher dancing to dub quite a few times and one video that keeps on popping up is a Russian dancer dancing to the Zeds remix of Paradise Circus: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADs04O9T0Ks

I glitch a bit with my pole. It can be very sensual, and obviously great for beat punctuation. Some may think it looks stupid but whatever, do whats right for you. If you're glitchy and thats what you love, it will show in your dance, moreso than if you were just to pick a "sexy song" that didn't speak to you.

I like dubstep for hooping & sometimes for pole & fusion-y bellydance depending on the tempo of the song. I don't know that I'm super-familiar with glitch-mob-style dance moves though. WHat are some examples of the dance vocabulary you can share?
As for whether you should or can…I don't see why you can't have fun figuring out how to bring in moves you like into your pole freestyle. How else do we innovate and put our stamp on our flow right?the fun part is seeing how you can go from your favorite dance moves into the things that are recognisably pole 🙂
