Have you considered using something specifically for sweaty hands instead of regular deodorant?
Dirty Girl Poletice: http://www.dirtygirlpoletice.com/#!purchase/c1umj
Dry Hands: http://www.badkitty.com/index.php/dry-hands-2oz-bottle.html

I personally have never tried deodorant on my hands, but a lot them seem like they would make your hands slippery because of other ingredients. I buy dry hands and love it. I was using a combo of Mighty Grip and Dry Hands, but now just using one works. You can also check poleamor.com for these products. The people are nice and they have great prices. I usually stock up from them on their eBay store. Good luck.

I use Dove Clinical Protection Deodorant on my hands every night before I go to bed. You wash it off in the morning. I will also use Dry Hands about an hour before I pole. This has saved me like you wouldn’t believe….I am also a proponent of Dirty Girl Poletice. I use it in the summer when I’m extra sweaty, but still use the Dove before bed, religiously! By the way, it does not stain or remove color from my sheets.

I’ve used the roll-on versions of Ban and Certain-Dri on my hands, I also used them before bed and they definitely helped! Different ones have different ingredients, so you can play around with what works best for you. For me Ban worked better, but felt pretty gross, it’s kind of gooey and sticky, while the Certain-Dri just felt like water. Some of the grip aids (like tite grip) have the same main ingredients as some deodorants, so they act pretty similar.

If u r going to use deodorant use Sweatblock. It is online only (google it). You apply it once a week and it works. Certain dry is good too but it’s a daily use. U put these on at night and they prevent sweating. They are not for putting on right before pole class. It is a preventative measure vs a “grip aid”.
