Hello everyone, good morning from MN! As I stated in a previous post from a few days ago, I am knew to pole and taking venna’s steps to get to where I want to be; gathering all the info I can! Can anyone tell me what, if there is anything on how to stop the dizziness? As I’m sure with time this too shall pass a bit, but till then what can be done?

    Thank you!

Do you dance on a static or spinning pole? I started with doing spins on a static pole, since you can control your speed more, and slowly moved onto spinning. If it’s possible for you to start with a static, I would recommend that. Welcome to the site and good luck!

Yes, static. I was just wondering about the dizziness & if n how it fades cause even when practicing something a few times on one side it happens sometimes. I think someone said they stare at the pole or something lol.

for me, the dizziness went away. i used to have to close my eyes, lol. now i don’t get dizzy unless i am on spin mode & haven’t done that in awhile…. or learning something new on spin, upside down. 😀

Staring directly at the pole if start to feel dizzying is a tip I use. There’s something about cutting the line of sight in half that stops the room from spinning right away! The dizziness will get better with time, but for now try spacing out your pole spins. Doing spin after spin is usually why people get dizzy.

I learned a tip from an Air Force guy after getting off a roller coaster. You lightly bounce up and down on your tip toes. Your toes do not leave the ground. This re-stabilizes the inner ear fluid or some such thing.

I immediately walk in the opposite direction and it goes away. I think Saphyre told me this? It works for me on spin mode so Im hoping it works for u on static. Good luck!
