Can anyone break this down or show post a quick vid please? I can do both spins just fine, but my brain won’t allow me to connect the two into one spin. Sorry no vid I’m at work and Youtube is off limits.

are you talking about the extended spin, then switch legs so that you’re in a fireman attitude, or do an extended spin and bring the other leg up behind you at attitude (keeping the same leg on the pole)?

This is Veena’s extended leg spin(if you can see), but somehow in the middle of this you switch your legs/feet in the opposite position to an ankle attitude. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

I think it’s number one bc the latter seems fairly easy(I think). When I tried to do it I was all twisted up. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

if you’re doing this with right hand high, hooking your right leg on the pole in the extended spin, keep your left leg back. as you bring your left leg forward (after your right knee hooks), hook it on the pole and take your right leg off. it helps a little to swivel your body too– in the extended spin, you want to be facing the pole but your right hip is closer; as your bring your left leg around you pivot slightly away from the pole so your left hip is closer. it sounds more complicated then it is, honestly…. a lot of my students do this on accident the first time they try the extended spin. the rotation of your body WANTS to naturally move into an attitude fireman.
