So have any of you had your gallbladder removed and had trouble with scar pain on inverted moves such as gemini/scorpio (thats how far i am) I had mine taken out larascopically <SP?> but had complications and had to have one of the sites re cut open dont ask painful to reminise about. Anyways the scar has always been painful with a slight touch any way but when attempting gemini/scorpio it feels like its ripping open because the pole pulls right on my scar i know these moves are supposed to hurt anyway but this is a different kind of pain not only does it hurt the scar but inside as well so heres my quest do any of you have a similar problem and do you guys have any suggestions to cover it up to make it less painful i was thinking some guaze and this clear square adhesive but i dont know how well that will stay on they used it after my surgery but of course i wasnt poling and sweating so yah theres my prob help please? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_salut.gif

How long ago was your surgery? I had my gall bladder taken out in 2005. I also had the surgery via laproscopicly, I look like I got stabbed w/a steak knife a few times. I havent had any problems w/them hurting. Ive been using bio oil on them to help reduce the appeareance of them. It will also soften up the skin as well.

    Hi there!

I had my gallbladder taken out the same way as you. My scar on the upper abdomen became over grown and turned into a Keloid that was tender to the touch and hurt when things rubbed up against it. I’m a dermatology nurse and the Dermatologist i work with started injecting it with steriods to help it flatten out and it has helped so much. is that the type of problem that you’re having? Are your scars overgrown?

Which scar is it that’s hurting. You say it hurts when you do Gemini and Scorpio so I’m guessing it’s the two on your side? I don’t think any of the other scars would come into contact with the pole when doing those moves.

How long ago was your surgery? I’m concerned that you may not be fully healed and maybe shouldn’t be trying some of that stuff yet, especially after the complications you had…

I know they give you a recovery time but you also have to think about that they cut into your abodmen. that doesnt heal quickly. I would working on building strength on that side.

I sometime have pain on some of my larger stretch marks if I repeat the same mover over and over. Does it hurt every time or just when you try the move multiple times? Take a break from those moves that irritate it for now for sure….maybe Sissybuns has more info for you on this too. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

    Hey hon,

I keliod scar no matter what (even acne leaves keliods). I had one on my knee that was painful when I was little. My mom put cocoa butter on it to help it loosen up. As I’ve grown it’s stretched and loosened up a bit so it’s not so stiff.

I second bio oil. Also try Lush Cosmetic’s Therapy massage bar or straight cocoa butter. It really helps with scars and stretch marks.

We chatted about it on facebook and I’m pretty sure her scar needs to be treated, so it can flatten out. That will help the tenderness some, but if it’s still painful on the "inside", you may need more time to recover.

I’d invert less often and stop when it begins to hurt. If it’s a matter of healing it will just take time. I’d bring it up to the doc too Aster.
