The move I'm referring to is the one where your hips are in front of the pole with the inside leg hooked and the other one leg straight, and your hands are to the side in a baseball grip or straight out in front of you with an armpit grip with the inside arm (not the one where your shoulders and back are also in front of the pole from which you can shoulder mount – the easier move from the hood ornament would be to do a basic chopper/v invert).

So I have this routine where I do a monkey climb (right? v invert to gemini pull up to hood ornament to v invert to gemini to hood ornament) and I want to do another move after the hood ornament besides inverting again or doing a teddy or sliding down.  Any ideas?

Amy has that tip on her blog about the Superman to cradle/Jamllla transition, and she also shows it from a hood ornament. So maybe you could do hood ornament to Jamilla to butterfly? And that frees you up to do a lot, obviously.

You can also drop (or….slide) from the hood ornament into an outside leg hang.

thanks for the shoutout Chumpchkin 🙂

you can also go into a ballerina or twisted ballerina from there, if you use the outside arm behind you and pull your hips up slightly to get them in front and twist into it. that's a pretty one you might like, its very nice on spin pole.

you can also whip the outside leg forward and go into a tuck spin to dismount down or do a cradle spin/chopsticks, tons of possibilities!
