I don’t know of a video, and I can’t see why it wouldn’t work. I would assume as long on you place the pole along the outside of the foot arch area it should be possible. It would take more strength in the adductors because you don’t have the bottom of the foot, only the side to help push! I’m pretty sure I’ve done it before tho…..I bet someone will have a video.

Oh and it would depend on how you entered into it! For me I see Gemini being best NOT side climb.

Thank you veena! That’s kind of what I was thinking. Really pressing the side of the foot. Yes it would be harder but I’m glad to hear it’s possible. 🙂 I agree it will probably be easier from Gemini rather than side climb. Hmmmm. This will be a goal for me to work on. 🙂

Yes it’s possible! I’m placing my calf against the pole, using skin contact. It’s easier the more flexible you are, because the Skin contact increases with how much you can spread the legs.
The hard point is to not slide out of it and loosing the grip with the bottom leg when pushing your hip out.

Racha, do you place your bottom leg in front of the pole or to the side? I’m so excited to hear that someone actually does this! 🙂 if you have any videos or pics please post them. But just describing it will help, so thank you!
