Help me find this spin pls <3
Hi guys
I haven’t been on the pole for over 10 years and I’m back to the beginning again.Anyway, I remember a spin that was taught here and I cannot for the life of me remember the name or proper grips etc that I would like to work towards again, despite it being a fairly novice spin.
And I cannot for the life of me figure out how to search for it (type in “beginner spin” and no luck).
So, it’s from standing position; one leg standing, the other cocked up, hooked in the knee pit up at hip level
…it’s like a standing V if one leg was bent holding the pole in a knee grip instead of fully extended, hands are split, one above the bent leg, one below and when you spin it’s kinda a crotch shot haha
Now I may be wrong about the hand placement, it may even be that the arm/s in an elbow pit hold.
You drop your weight forward and the lower leg sweeps around while you hope your shorts contain all your bits.
I remember being really scared to let my weight fall forwards but once I got it I was so excited.
Anyone have any idea what this could be? It’s not an advanced move, it’s probably just above a backwards hook leg spin in terms of skill, it’s the fear of falling forward into the spin that, to me, is the biggest difficulty.
I’m so sorry, this is such a bad description but this is an itch I can’t scratch trying to figure out wtf this spin is.
TIA if anyone can let me know what I’m thinking of.
Emma
