    I have a pole at home but it’s not steady when i use it. I checked the width of the beams from the attic, they are only 1.5 inches wide and 18 in apart. I think the lack of significant width is the reason for the pole being wobbly. I just want to know what i can do to make it more sturdy

    Try using a brace board like a piece of plywood about the size of your mount/dome and put it between the ceiling (right in the middle of the joist) and your pole. That will spread out the weight evenly. 🙂

    The measurements you described are perfectly normal, I’m not sure why it would cause your pole to be wobbly. Maybe take a vid or pics and send to x pole customer support to see if they can help you trouble shoot the issue.
