Here is a statement form another dancer on here about the pole
I have a "My sexy Little Pole" at first I was very happy with it. It’s my first pole and I have had it for about two months. About a week ago I noticed that one of the seams in the joint is starting to flair out and you can see where the bottom section of the pole is pushing itself farther into the top section. I believe this is whats causing the flair. It is becoming dangerous to use. I would not recommend it to anyone. Will be getting an x-pole as soon as possible.

If that is what your price range is….I would just keep saving your money until you can buy either a X-pole, lil minx or platinum stages. You could get seriously hurt on that thing! Foxy_Rei has a video documenting that kind of pole….you should check it out! I know how anxious you can get when you don’t have a pole…but somethings you get what you pay for….and unfortunately that pole ( my sexy little pole, carmen electra pole, pro fit pole….all are the same) is crap! If it is indeed the same as the Carmen Electra don’t waste your time or money. If you want it that bad I’ll send you the one I got….FOR FREE! (Sike I would never give that thing to anyone, not even if they paid me. It’s a deadly piece of shit)
I agree that you should save up. I was anxious just like you and got every cheap pole on the market and still ended up getting an x-pole in the end so I spent more money than I needed to. Just save up and do it right the first time.

you can cut yourself everywhere on poles like this, I’ve got two pic scars from my pole :/

wow thank you all so much. Im not going to get that anymore haha. Im going to save up for an xpole and I just found out my hubby might get a good job today and it pays 25/hr thats good and he said if he gets the job i can get an xpole the 2nd or 3rd paycheck. isnt that sweet. I hope he gets the job cuz it with music and he loves it so much wish us luck he he and thank you all for everything.

I also bought a Peek a boo pole years ago and I fell off of it. Luckily I wasn’t badly hurt but I sure didn’t expect something like that to happen.

I have the x pole sport because of all the recommendations on the internet but it doesnt want to stay up. As far as I know Im following the instructions but it keeps slipping. Has anyone had a similar problem and know hpt to fix it?

I would say you don't have it balanced and tightened enough. Veena has a tutorial on how to put one up watch it it might help you.
