First off, hello to the veena community!!!! Im so excited to be apart of the pole community.
I got my xpole sport 3 weeks ago, and have been strength training/training on it 3x a week. Ive advanced quick!!! I can invert already.
Ive been a exotic dancer dancer for about 9 months but i decided to lose weight/gain muscle nd start really performing to increase my earning nd just really get into poling as a sport nd in general.
January-may 2014 ive lost 35lbs nd gained alot of muscle. I prepared myself by lifting heavy in the gym nd basing my training around upper body strength. That has given me a super start in poling.
How long did it take u guys to progress?

P.s. besides studioveena help videos i found a really great pole conditioning video thats hard core

That’s really awesome to hear and welcome to the community! Pole communities are really great, especially SV. That’s very impressive that you can invert at three weeks. I also progressed quickly. That’s great news that you lost weight and gained muscle! I wish some of my pounds would go away lol.
Everyone is different at progressing, but it took me about the same time to start inverting. I’ve only been poling for four months and I can do a shoulder mount, gemini, scorpio, etc.
It’s great that you’re progressing fast. But I think that pole is really about how your soul feels when you dance and how it builds up your strength both emotionally and physically.
Again, welcome to the community. 🙂

Hi Welcome! Yep, everyone will progress differently. I came into pole strong from lifting weights, but then I had my 4th baby and after pregnancy I had to start over and the strength just wasn’t there. It came back though. 🙂 As long as your inverting properly and giving yourself time to rest you’ll do great!

    Wow veena!!! 🙂
And thats what surprised me. Im actually inverting properly (with jumping, kicking, or throwing my legs up)
I can aerial invert as well.
Ive been doing some veena videos and this video from youtube called POLE FITNESS CONDITIONING (just type in pole fitness conditioning nd its a man nd the video is 36:31 long)
Ive added some other exercises in. I made a combo: climb, invert hold, invert crunch, climb down repeat BOTH SIDES 5-8 TIMES)

    Im in love with it
Only problem is my fingers hurt really bad
    I have a 50mm chrome xpole sport
want a 45mm chrome xpert next
