ive been playing around with this site for a little while now and think its time to get involved.. i started looking into pole dancing when i got laid off of work and ended up working for a strip club. needless to say it didnt last long cause i just felt uncomfortible not knowing anything and the girls there didnt do much with the pole (most told me they were scared of it) so when i got the money together i decided that if i was going to keep dancing i woud have to learn how thus going to a studio a few miles from me. so far the women have been great but now im starting to think im going to need more help. ive only been taking classes for almost a month now and they graduated me to the next level which i thought was awesome at the time but now im thinking so much it seems everytime i turn around im hurting something. like last week i was told to invert on my not so strong side and ended up getting a sharp pain in my ab area and then today they had us invert and now i have a numbbing pain in my arm.. sorry for the rant i just have become so addited to pole and dont want to hurt myself anymore so im going to take it slow and you guys just seem so supportive and awesome to each other! now i kinda feel like im going to need a boost in my self confidence cause im starting to actually get scared of the pole. but hopefully its nothing i cant over come! thanks for reading and may each one of us have long and happy poling days!!

    Woohoo!
    I LOVE STRIPPER.

I especially love hot Dallas Strippers! I’m from Arlington, though I live in Maryland now!

I’m sorry you’ve been hurting yourself at class- I’ll agree to take it slow and really enjoy yourself! Nothing wrong with some nice wall dances and floorwork at home to increase your strength.. don’t neglect the pushups and ab work either… just to supplement what you’re doing in class since it’s never enough!

Welcome, I get excited when I see more exotic dancers working on pole!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif The pain you had after inverting….more than likely means your not strong enough on your non dominate side. I would be helpful to add some strength work both on and off the pole to balance things out like Amcut suggested. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif If you have a pole there are always the lessons on here as well.

yes i do have a pole at my apt but i ended up getting a cheap one for the moment. i read countless reviews on the pole (all good reviews) i got and i can do alot of things with it just not spinning counter clockwise. i would eventually love to try a spinning pole but im kinda scared that it would make me weak (since its doing the spinning for me) and that i would kinda fly off of it…
we do floorwork and exercises in the class but i dont believe its nearly enough. i do alot of the exercises at home or the gym. now im starting to feel a difference in my abs. i thought it was normal to invert at such a short time doing pole dance and im glad that i joined the site. my teacher has the classes labeled for there levels but still there are girls who are just starting out joining the advanced classes and instead of the teacher asking them to come back for the beginner class she has them stay and do advanced moves.. my contract with this place will be over in 2 months and i will definately be switching to sv unless i can find some way to get the money sooner.
yes i would absolutely love to do your strenght trainning exercises seemes like you have alot of great exercises to do!!
btw i see that you guys do open chat on fridays. do any of you do like private get togethers to support each other or to just exercise together? how much are the lessions??

i strongly suggest veena’s lessons! they are awesome https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif especially since mrs. thing over there is doing more floor moves and strength training. i love you veena! but i’m from fort worth and there are a few from arlington and many from dallas! welcome!
i have gotten together with gelina. she’s amazing! there are scheduled "pole jams" where people get together at a studio. sadly i didn’t make it to the last one https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif .
