Firstly a BIG hello to you all!!! :o)

I'm hoping someone can help me….i suffer with hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) which is not good on the pole!! I take a prescribed drug called Propantheline Bromide but this only seems to dry my mouth badly and give me a sore throat :o/ i stopped drinking caffeine 2 years ago in the hope that this would help…I definently sweat more with caffeine but without caffeien i'm still having problems…

I've tried MANY grip enhancers…eco ball, liquid chalk, chalk ball, dry hands, mighty grip powder, mighty grip gloves, gripper, tite grip, itac2 (level1), driclor, vinegar, vodka…all of which i sweat through straight away! I've ordered some itac2 level 2 & 4 to see if i have any joy just eagerly waiting for delivery!!

I've also tried Iontopheresis but this didn't work for me now was it practical to sit with my hands in water for an hour per hand! I have no time as it is!

I no i have the strength but i just have no grip….This is a real problem for me and is holding me back so badly! I am currently waiting to hear if i can have Botox injected into my palms as i've seen this can help for upto 6 months at a time…. I didn't want to go to this extreme but i'm now desperate!

Has anybody else here experienced or experiencing the same problem? I'm trying to get as much info as i can to see if there is anything i've not tried that may help or cure my problem. Thankyou in advance Sarah XxX

Hmm have you tried gloves? Some people have had a pot of success with mighty grip gloves. Also Joel on YouTube poledancefan just posted a video with football gloves which are very grippy. Hopefully these would help a little in the short term.

Have you tried applying the Tite Grip an hour or two before poling?  I have just started using it and it is the only thing that has worked for me at all.  I apply one generous layer up to 2 hours before getting on the pole and then another layer about 30 min before.  My hands still sweat just a little but it's manageable.

The following regimen has been recommended by a Pole Dance instructor for those with the problem of Hyperhydrosis. It has lessened the problem for her, perhaps it can work for you.

One of the problems with people with hyperhydrosis is that they lack vitamin B. We don't produce much and the body takes from, vitamin B first. This causes the body to think it needs to be hydrated thereby causing sweaty hands, underarm and or feet. So I bought vitamin B complex, which has all the B's. I also take a multi Vitamin and a Magnesium Vitamin supplement.

Also, peanut butter and dairy increase the nervous system to think you need to sweat more, so I stay away from those items. This is why a multivitamin is needed, as your vitamin D will run low with not consuming dairy. There are other foods that trigger it but this is the most common that everyone consumes daily. It has lessened the sweaty hands tremendously. I went from full hand covered gloves to now using bare hands or the Mighty Grip gloves as it lessens the sweaty hands but not completely. It has been very helpful

Not tried applying tite grip way b4 poling but i'll definently try that thank you :o)

Vitamin B….Thats interesting to know! My family all seem to lack vitamin B…Vitiligo runs in the family which is another sign of the body not taking in enough vitamin B, i shall try a supplement and see if this helps ease of the sweat at all!

Thank you for all replys, this problem along with the fact that i'm allergic to my pole is getting me down…so dis-heartening knowing you have the strength but don't have the grip :o/

One more possibility to try as well. Are you familiar with the white cotton gloves worn that  are worn when handling antiques and artifacts? I have a couple of pair made by the Rubbermaid company. You should be able to fine them in some Pharmacies as the can be used also when putting creams on the hand.

Use them as an underneath garment under a pair of the Mighty Grip gloves. If you are using the 1/2 finger gloves just cut part of the fingers off. We also have a full fingered glove.

Hope this helps a bit as well.

I have the same problem. Actually recently got rid of itac 2 & 3 bc they just sweat off due to being made of beeswax. Too much reapplying.

Decided to give Tite Grip a 2nd chance and take the polers advice. Apply 30 minutes to 1 hour before poling, then reapply right before pole. Plus rubbing white distilled vinegar on the pole to clean/warm it. Amazing!

I think i didn’t like Tite Grip before bc I used the fake one and applied it right before poling so it didn’t absorb. The fake one has diff packaging! Bought the real Tite Grip from the manufacturer and works wonders. I still sweat a little after 15-20 minutes and have to reapply, but not after every SINGLE move like before.

Maybe a dot close to half a cm or quarter of an inch.

Also make sure your packaging looks like this:

    NOT like this:

    Good luck! 🙂

Some one should get in touch with tite grip and tell them about this problem. If they are not aware of a counterfeit on the market I am sure they would like to know.

If you look on their website they are both made by the same company, so what is the difference??

That’s the ironic part. I think its either an old formula or the fakes they’re talking about somewhere.

I tried both and the 2nd one didn’t work for me, just made my hands sweatier and created little beads of sweat on my hands. The 1st one made them completely sweat-free. Also, the creams looked different in color and texture too.

I use a squirt about the size of a pencil eraser right in the middle of my palm and then work it into my palm first and then work it out to my fingers. Also I always thoroughly wash my hands first and I try to put it on 2 hours before I pole if possible. Then about 15 min before I pole I apply it a second time. I hope this detailed explanation helps it work for others. I know sweaty hands are very discouraging. This stuff has got me back to loving to pole!
