i had the weirdest dream last night!
so in my dreamworld last night, i was in my father’s house (where i am currently) showing my sister some moves on my bottom-loading xpole (which does NOT exist. no money for me and no bottom loading xpoles in the us yet) and my dad came home earlier than expected. now, both in real life and dream world, my dad doesn’t know about my poling and it’s going to stay that way, because he is very conservative christian and he would not understand AT ALL. so in this dream i was rush taking my xpole apart while trying to keep him in the other room so he wouldn’t see the pole and ask what it is. it was so weird, the pole like, loaded at the bottom then folded extra small in to like this little box or something. and then to set it up you set the box on the ground where you wanted it and pressed a big red button on the top and it would unfold and then you just tightened it to the ceiling from the bottom. haha it was the weirdest thing.
i think i am just going through pole withdrawal so bad that i’m even beginning to dream about it!
on another note, i found a song today that i’d really like to do a pole routine to, and it sucks because i can’t! two more weeks until my hands touch a pole!

I’ve only started and haven’t told anyone about my pole except my boyfriend.. don’t really know how to!

haha, well i’ve been poling for like 2 months (not including this awful month long break i’ve had to take) and pretty much everyone in my life knows about it other than my father. but i really want to have an xpole this summer, but it seems as though i will be staying in his house again this summer, so i’m gonna try to use it during the weekdays while he is at work, but i’m terrified of him coming home earlier than expected and him walking in to seeing me by a pole. i’d have no idea what to say.

Oh no that’s a difficult situation. I’m lucky because I can have mine at my boyfriend’s place. Will you have the pole in your bedroom, because then it might not be too difficult to hide? Why have you had to take a month long break? Also, are you able to put up and take down your pole by yourself. I’ve only put mine up and taken it down once, but if I want to use it in the next week while my bf is away, I’ll have to put it up all by myself, and i’m worried i won’t be able to! I even found it difficult just to hold the dome against the ceiling while my bf unwound it! Eeek!

i will be storing it in my bedroom but i will not be using it in my bedroom, as my bedroom is about the size of a jail cell. so i can only use the pole in our living room. since i do not have my pole yet, and the bottom loaders are supposed to be coming out in the spring, my impression is that i will be using a bottom loader when i get one, so i will be able to put it up myself. i’ve had to take a month long break because i go to school in baltimore and go to pole classes there 5-6 days out of the week when i am in school, but i’ve had to come home for winter break and the studio close to my father’s place is way more expensive than my studio at school, so i can’t afford to pole here.

Oh I see that makes sense. Yeah I have the bottom loading one, but I still find it difficult! I suppose it was my first go putting it up. Do you ahve any friends living near your dad’s place that pole dance? Someone suggested this to me when I thought I couldn’t put a pole up. I you had a pole friend nearby, maybe you could go halves on a pole and share it, and keep it at the friend’s place?
