    Hey everyone!!
I had asked veena while ago about the tg and she told me it gave her really big callouses…I just got my tg…and Im not sure if it’s cause I’m not used to a 45mm, or the fact that it’s t.g…but I’ve been getting huge callouses, and If I’m on the pole for a while (more than hour) They hurt unbelievably bad…Kind of like when I first started polling. I want to know what it is that’s causing them, and if the pain is going to go away…I’m starting to think I might have chose a finish for my latest pole that might not be so great https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

It makes sense that a grippier pole is going to give you more callouses. All it takes is a little grip adjustment on your part. Part of it also may be the 45 for the exact same reason…if you learned on a larger and slipperier pole then you have gotten used to using your hands only in one way.

Wish I could help you on this, Tabby…my TG 45 was so slippy, I wasn’t sure if I couldn’t work on it because of the size or the grip. Got my 50mm chrome, and having much better pole workouts now. I also loaned my TG 45 to my instructor, and she agrees with me that my TG is extremely slippery, so she is going to work on it a bit and see if she can improve the grip for me.

I would say, just work on adjusting your grip and hopefully in a short time, it will right itself.

I’m also one of the weird ones that doesn’t like TG or Brass.

You are probably overgripping because you are coming from a 50 and the new finish will effect grip too. Give it some more time.
