Just want to share my happy day of my 4th birthday with all of you guys. 4 years ago I got diagnosed with breast cancer. Life changing experience. At that time I was doing a 6 week pole thing at a studio. In those 6 weeks we would learn, fireman spin, front hook and back hook, pole sit and on the last day a CAR with assistance. I got diagnosed the day before my last pole class. I am afraid of heights and I wasn’t looking forward to that CAR thing. The day came, like I said, just gotten the bad news the day before. The instructor asks who wants to go first. Sure me. I climb up. Cross my ankles. Feel her hands on my back for support, and I am thinking, what can be worse then having Cancer. So instead of freaking out and letting go of one hand at the time I just let go, trusted my instructor and went back wards. Ok I slid down a little, but was squeezing and had the big bruises the day after to proof it. Then last year I picked up pole again. And I am doing things I knew I wouldn’t have done before my cancer, just because of my fear of heights. Ok I still don’t climb a ladder, but I trust my arms to hold me while I am upside down in which ever move or my legs.
I am blessed and happy to be here and to have found a new passion. Passion is what we need in life.
