https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I haven’t seen any of her dvds yet but I have visited her YouTube page, she’s a good dancer and good at poling, hopefully she instructs as good as she dances! I’m all for checking her dvds out now https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_silent.gif

I have watched the beginner and intermediate DVDs. They aren’t bad but don’t expect to see anything new, it’s pretty much her youtube channel on a DVD. There is not a whole lot of break down of the moves or instruction, mostly demonstration but I tend to get really technical in my explanations so maybe it’s just a difference in teaching style.
In short, there are some nice combos to watch but I don’t know how well it would teach you to do them if you don’t already know how.

Hm.. I think I’d prefer some instruction in videos I watch, especially being a noob at everything. It’s easier to learn when you’re being instructed and it seems like a waste of money, if she isn’t teaching the moves, just showing them. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_neutral.gif . Maybe they’re something a guy would buy instead to see some hot chica poling then.
Thanx for the input, quite helpful… especially saving money https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

well, it’s not that there is NO instruction, just not enough in my opinion. I know there is another thread about the DVD so maybe you should check it out and see how others felt about it.

Wikipole has review and a breakdown of whats on each dvd. I have the beginner one and I really like the combos . "The DVD is a good introduction for beginners to pole dance as well as more experienced dancers who are having difficultly linking moves together through smooth transitions. The focus is heavily towards creating a smooth, flowing dance routine as well as demonstrating basic spins, poses and climbs."
I’m not sure on the more advanced stuff but for a beginner I found it helpful/inspiring. I really like her style. Its not jammed pack with moves though like Vertical Dance for example.

Transitions are really useful and I think that DVD would probably help me out, too (if I had the money) but…
I’ll probably get flamed or something, but I just can’t watch any of the videos that come out of her studio. I used to, because they had nice transitions, did their moves well, and they were kinda pretty girls…but for me, it’s kind of like watching a stripper who’s not into her work. They have no life or joy for their dance when they dance for the camera! I know it’s choreographed, because it sure looks like it! It’s not terribly inspirational when you put it next to others, because choreographed or not, at least other people have some life in them. Sorry. I just had to say it.
That aside, I’d say go for it, if you like her videos! And let me know what you think, because if you find it really helpful, maybe I’ll…er, ask for it for christmas? Or get money from christmas to buy them! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif -
maybe im biased (i am lol) but the only vids i trust are veena’s, you know exactly what you’re getting when you order them and you KNOW you’ll achieve the results you want because especially with her new lesson setup you get all the information you need for each move you’re interested in https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

i wish a lot of these DVDs were available somehow as online downloads you could pay for, but i can see that it could lead to pirating… i’m really reluctant to spend $30+ on a DVD sight unseen.
-
I’ve looked, as I am a pirate cat and I do not pay for my…well, anything. Games, movies, whatever. Anyways, I’ve looked and looked and looked, no pole instruction on for the download, and it makes me very sad. I barely have enough money to get through my next semester, but I really, really want to learn more pole dancing! At least I managed to afford the lessons on here https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Expertvillage really helped me a lot when I first started out. That combined with Veenas lesson gave me more then enough info.
-
I would say over half the videos I buy I am happy with. I also have Veenas lessons. I am a huge pole fand/addict. Leigh ann, Bobbi, Veena, AOP are probably the ones I’d be keeping and maybe sell the others in a couple of months. I don’t have a huge amount but there are a few I could leave.

I love Leigh Ann and her YouTube videos, but it all depends on what you are looking for in a DVD. Here is the other thread discussion about her videos:
