I finally installed my lil mynx last night. First I used the non slip pad and it kept sliding so I took it off and its so much better. I’m a little scared though because it clearly states in the instructions that the pole is fine on carpet but that the pad is needed for other surfaces. I guess I’m looking for reassurance : ). On another note…I find that I love stainless steel…at least in my humid garage.

Are you talking about the little cut out or the rubber feet that are attached to the bottom?  I had mine up in my garage on a smooth piece of panelling for almost 3 years without issue.  But then mine also came with the directions to keep extending it even after you put it up until it was tight.  If you are getting movement with the pad in place then that tells me you do not have it extended enough.

They sell a non skid floor pad for use on hard wood and tile floors so I bought it since my smooth concrete is similar to tiles. However it feels better with just the rubber feet. I’m going to twist it more tonight but when I tried yesterday it wouldny twist any more so I figured it was tight enough.

I went home and turn the tube a bit more and it is very sturdy now. I marked the floor at the beginning of practice and it didn’t move at all the whole time. Thanks Chem!
