I figured I would post this here since I've seen some people selling their poles lately.  I already own a 45mm xpert but really want a second one and would love to learn on a 50mm.   Thanks!!

Also considering a lil mynx since its going in the garage. Has anyone had bad experience with them?

I know that the mynx stainless can be extremely slippery.  The top several inches are non usable for pole.  If you are going straight into wood you should have no problem but if you are going into drywall it can eat away at the drywall and destroy the ceiling.  I had mine in my garage for 2+ years directly into a wooden support and had no issues.

Hmm..I wouldn’t be going straight into wood. Good to know…thanks for the info.

I’ve been reading some ads in craiglist and it looks like the lil mynx comes with a standard base suitable for carpet. Does this mean that iy needs a different base to use on tile.

You need a non-skid floor mat for tile or wood. They sell them on the LM website, but they usually come with all the poles.
