    Hiya!
My new 45 TG Xpert is being delivered today! Does anybody have a step by step method for getting the factory coating off and the pole dance ready?
I was going to try the steam iron trick..but wasn’t sure if I should steam with the pole up or the pieces. So. I was wondering if one of you lovely ladys or guys could take me through a system step by step?
    Thanks a bunch.
I’ve been pole-less for 3 weeks and I need to practice!

What factory coating?  Are you talking the light oil that may be on the pole?

Ya I heard that they coat the pole with some thing to protect it. Not sure if its true just looking for some directions to get the max. grip from a brand new pole.

Yeah, I steam my new poles right out of the box. I've done it both ways, in pieces or put together, I steam it several times when the pole is new. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Hello, I’m really short on cash right now and was wondering what the bestway was to get the coating off without a steamer? I really can’t afford one, I’m saving up to move and get married!!

Haha, i guess i should have done more research. I never realized they coated the pole, i put mine up and started using it right away! didnt think it would be an issue, and doesnt seem to have affected anything…

clean it a lot. I use rubbing alcohol. You can steam it with a clothes iron on steam

You can use a really hot damp towel in a pinch…not as great as a steam..but it helps

Thanks guys 🙂 The rubbing alcohol actually really helps!! I’m gonna try the really hot towel later after I’m finished practicing!
