Posted by polefairy on April 6, 2010 at 12:19 amHey everyone,
I’m brand new here, I found the site while googling about muscle pain after the first few lessons so as you may have guessed, I’m very much a beginner! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
I wasn’t sure if anyone could join here or if you had to be an actual dancer to take part on the forum but I seen that there are other newbies too. I own an x-pole but am still only on spins and standing on the pole. I can sit too but only for about 30 seconds because it hurts a lot but not as much as the first few times!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gifI’m delighted to have found this site, such an excellent idea. Here’s hoping that as the weeks go on I can build up more moves and become stronger because it’s already so much fun.

Welcome to the boards! Don’t worry, it takes time to build up strength and tolerance, but you’ll get there eventually! Pole burn hurts a looot at first (as you’ve no doubt found out for yourself,) but it’ll stop hurting more quickly than you would expect. Just practice pole sits as often as you can, and before you know it, your thighs won’t hate you anymore.

hehe you’re right poleophile, it really has become an obsession. So cool to have other people here who are the same because those who have not yet been bitten by the pole bug don’t seem to get it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
Trena, I’m in Dublin so not far from Wexford at all. You’re a pole dance mummy I see – that is verrrry cool! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
Are there many beginners from Ireland here?
-
Yeah there are a few Irish newbies here. Some of them include https://www.studioveena.com/xshellbearx and https://www.studioveena.com/irishcailin. There’s also https://www.studioveena.com/Audball, she’s been poling since January 2010. And https://www.studioveena.com/Kelilicious who has been poling since September 09. There are LOADS of us Irish girls here so if you wanna look some more of us up you can go to https://www.studioveena.com/browse.php and click on the country tab and select Ireland and you can find more! There are some girls who competed and even won some of the Irish Pole Comps here on this site too! Happy searching! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
