I just sold my chrome xpole due to nickle allergies and ordered a 45mm stainless today..yay! I've also been using 50mm Platinum Stage but I'm not sure if it'll be exactly the same. I will let you guys know how it is 🙂

So I got my stainless steel xpert and finally got a chance to pole on it last night.  Definitely harder to pole on with dry skin. I have to be warm with some type of moisture on my skin. My hands get a good grip on it since they sweat, but my legs/arms/etc. don't stick very well if I haven't warmed up or put on lotion a few hours before. Well atleast they make various grip aids to help this..or it just takes some practice and it'll make ya stronger 😉

I always find that ITAC works better for me on SS poles though I have not yet tried the XPert SS.

I now use ss and chrome equally and I like the ss better.

Here's my comparison of chrome and ss from my experience.

SS is better for hand grip but not as good for gripping with other body parts since my skin is very often dry. BUT whenever I have gripping problems on the ss wether its hand or leg gripping issues I out on itac and problem solved.

Chrome is awful for my hand grip. I need to have to clean the pole all the time, wash my hands and no grip aid lasts me for more then 5 minutes. Itac makes my hands slippery as well as other grip aids I have tried. Tite grip has helped me but I still have problems. The good thing about chrome is that I have very good grip with other body parts. But when I cant grip with my hands it's just not that fun.

Haha oops I see now that I should have read better. Haven't tried brass and the ss that I use isn't from xpole either. But I can see that you have similar experience with the grip on ss. 🙂

I used to dance on a ss and had SO many grip issues- it was extremely frustrating.
As you know- I just got my brass and did have some grip issues initially. The problem is completely solved now that I make sure there is a heater on in my pole room about ten minutes before I go in there.
Brass has AMAZING grip!! I love it so much! No matter how much I would warm up my old ss the grip was still extremely slippery.
    Go brass- it rocks!!

The people at PS cited "quality control" issues with X Pole. I never had that, though I was allergic to the chrome, sadly. I loved everything about my chrome pole and all studios I've ever been to use them. Too bad it made me break out crazily.

PS, on the other hand, sent me a horribly defective pole (quality control…hmm).  I think it's alarmist to say that X Poles contain toxins without having any evidence other than that they are from China. Normally these toxins are found in PAINT, and poles are metal, not painted.

I got my SS Xpert last week and I hate it. HATE it with a passion. I've almost killed myself twice on it. I've fallen out of two or three body spirals. I've been dancing for over a year and used SS polished finish, chrome finish, X Pole's gold finish, and I use brass poles at work, which above all are the best I've ever used. I constantly have to apply grip aid to it and it's weird matte finish. I hope I can sell this thing sometime soon and get something else…even if I do have to settle for a PS pole or something I'm allergic to. Who knows.

Why can't I find something that works for me? :'(

Is it slipperier than a lilmynx SS? I used to feel like I was going to fly off of those.
