I get weird aches in my fingers especially at night, and sometimes they can feel a little stiff. I used to get wrist aches but thankfull those have subsided https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I would highly recommend icing your hands and arms after practice, doing self massage and stretches, wearing compression gloves at night, and taking it easy for a day or two if they hurt very badly. You don’t want to develop carpal tunnel or tendinitis! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I also like using lavender and arnica oil when massgIng for it’s healing properties (I’m a massage therapist https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif so I totally understand the arm and wrist strain!

Thanks for mentioning these things, I have them on hand, and I should get into the habit of applying right after I clean my pole!

Oh yes! I get achy! Lol. Between poling and my career as a freelance writer, my hands/wrists definitely pick up some wear and tear. I find just taking a couple 5 minute breaks during the day and stretching my wrists really helps. I also like to get to class about 10 minutes early, so I can warm up wrists and fingers on my own. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I know nobody is going to want to hear this one, but doing the dishes by hand in really, really, warm water (as warm as you can stand) works wonders!!! I also suffer from achy fingers and hands ~ Recently our dishwasher broke so I’ve been doing the dishes by hand and the pain is gone! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
