I’ve heard that the grip is unfriendly for spins, but it’s fine for learning new stunts. Maybe if it’s a secondary pole, you should go for it.

I am not sure if this is similar to the PS pole:

Bubble Pole. I have no idea on the cost. I will say that my powder coated ‘lil mynx can be horrible sometimes, especially when it is warm. I think once you have the full dynamics of a move down adjusting it for a different diameter or material grip is not all that difficult. I would not want to use this to learn on, though.

I looked at those bubble poles last week and got aprice quote.

They are VERY cool looking but….here is what they sent me:

The bubble poles are a 2” round acrylic rod with suspending bubble running through it. It gets lit up with either 3 watt or 6 watt LED.

These bubble poles are not really used for aggressive pole work. You can do some light dancing on it and even climb on them but as far as getting crazy and aggressive on them I would not recommend it. The weight limit I would have to say is not more then 150 pounds.

The price is $50.00 per LF. They go up to 11’4” in length.

Goddess, can you clarify what you mean? Horrible how? I have a Lil Mynx stainless and have been thinking about getting a custom powder coated to put in my room with 15 foot vaulted ceilings. I thought I’d read that they are much better for gripping, which is what I’d like–not worried about spinning being difficult. I’d love your thoughts. Thanks!

The powder coat is great at times, especially when learning new things because there is really good grip. I remember the first time I climbed my pole and slid down….not only did it squeal but I think I took off some skin! I have my pole up in my garage so I don’t have a lot of temperature control. In the winter it is not too bad because I have a heated garage and the humidity is pretty low. Summer it is almost impossible to do anything because of the heat and humidity. Temps over 75 is when I start to have issues. It is almost like sticking to vinyl seats when you are wearing shorts. I remember I was trying to learn the superman at the beginning of summer and kept getting my left thigh stuck on my pole during the flip over.

I guess I would liken it to using too much grip aid…..that feeling.
