shoe help!
Posted by Phoenix Hunter on January 4, 2014 at 12:15 amthe rubber is coming off the bottom of my clear Ellie shoes. it is peeling off. have any of you dealt with this? is there a certain glue that would work, do I take them to a shoe repair, or are they just doomed. they are pretty beat up but I’ve only had them 4 months. I just want to get a little more wear out of them. 🙁

If you visit any lingerie/sex shop they have simple black grips for the bottoms of your shoes & they’re totally inexpensive! You’ll just peel all the old grip of the bottom of your shoes, take the new grips out of the package, one side should already be sticky, and attach them to the bottom of your shoes. And yay, they’re like new again!
You might be able to find them on any shoes, like Ellie, website to order as well. Heck, they usually also sell them in some type of vending machine at some strip clubs. -
I think I have crazy glue around the house somewhere, will give it a try! 🙂

If you do use any type of super glue make sure to be very careful bc after it dries any visible glue glows bright under blacklights.

Great advice on here! Getting an extra pair of slip grip. Just repaird my heel today with shoegoo because the platform seperated from the pad and it takes 3 days to dry, I was wondering if the glue I used will also glow in uv/black light?

Yuengling, im not absolutely sure about the shoegoo, i recently bought some outfits for work & told the lady that i want to put those colorful gems on my clear 8″ heels cause that would save me around $40 & theyd be unique and she warned me about the super glue. BUT since you’re in AZ…you know those “scorpion flashlights” that are sold at just about every Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, etc?! Theyre really cheap & if you get one just test out the shoegoo under the light and see what happens.

Thank you so much chasitydbe I didn’t want to bring my shoe to work or have to buy a $30 black light. Off to walgreens I go 🙂
