When you’re a half size they generally recommend that you buy a size bigger and then just place an insert into the shoe.
So I would get an 8 and then just buy an insert to take up some of the extra room in the shoe.

Just incase, make sure you read the companys return policy before you buy online!

You should be able to get a shoe insert at most shoes stores! Just ask someone working there and they should be able to help you out!
Or you can always go to a drug store and check out their aisle with all the feet stuff. They might have some there. You can also buy some padding for your heel or toes if the shoes are still a bit too big or just not fitting quite right.
    Good luck!

for platform shoes for dancing, i always order a half size DOWN because you can generally stretch them out pretty easily (with a blowdryer, just heat them up a bit) but if they’re too big your foot is slipping all over the place. i’m a 7.5 also and always get a 7 in pleaser/ellie/tony shoes.

If you are dealing with open toe platforms then definitely get the smaller size. Closed toe you can get away with inserts but they still are not comfortable.

if you’re a half size (you said you’re a 7.5?) then go down to the smaller full size. so get a 7.

I agree! If you go up there will be "extra shoe" past your heel once your foot slides down…besides the shoes usualy stretch abit after being heated up from your feet.

    I totally agree!!
Open toe or strappy sandals are super easy to stretch!! As long as your toes aren’t hanging over the edge of the shoe you should be good!!
I should have asked what style of shoes they were before suggesting inserts!! Sorry!

ok, so just to be on the safe side- I wear between a 9-10 depends on shoe company. I ordered a 10 the last time I some dancing shoes onine and they ended up being huge and falling apart. So if I order a pair of pleasers in a 9 will they be ok? I’m just nervous and don’t want to go through all the shipping if they don’t fit. anybody have definite experience. stupid half sizes….. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif

I think it also depends on your foot shape. I wear a 7.5 but have to go up to an 8 in most shoes because, while I don’t have wide feet in general, the ball of my foot must be a titch wide. I can’t squinch my feet into a size 7 and can’t imagine that heating them up would stretch them enough to make it happen.

If it’s possible, I’d recommend maybe finding a place where you can try on a pair for your first purchase. After that, you’ll know your preferred size/style and can order online. ?
