singing and poling??

so, i like singing and i have a little card for ‘Doris Darling’–i dress up in vintage pillbox hat and gloves and sing Doris Day songs, etc https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif i only did it once publicly, for free, and was so nervous my voice was shaking the whole time https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
but, i was thinking, since they are both performance art related, and go well with costumes…
can you pole and sing at the same time?

I think it would be do-able as long as you didn’t do any major tricks because you’ll be too out of breath to sing. I love to sing too and thought that would be great, but I have a hard time singing along to the music I’m practicing to, and that’s not as if I were performing. But when you’re a beginner you’ll be more out of breath because it’s harder for you, so maybe when you can do several moves comfortably you could sing along. Have done it while playing at the studio.
Can be done, but you do need super high levels of fitness.
Or don’t do so many cardio tricks.the trick is to keep the diaphragm open in whatever position you’re in.
Ensure you can get good breaths down into the diaphragm. (yes, another skill, I trained in opera for a few years)
However, this also contradicts the acrobatic breathing technique where it’s all into your chest. -

Do it do it do it!! I know you’re a beginner but when you feel more comfortable you could definately do it. i was reminded of Madonna who used to? run 8-10 miles a day, and put on those choreographed shows while singing with the head mic (she was an accomplished dancer early on)
