My stainless steel pole has been great up until last nite. It feels as tho it has had a wax job! Even when Im not using it, I can just rub my hands along it and it now has a super waxy glossy slippery feel to it. I cant do even a pole hold. Ive tried windex, plain water, and alcohol too. My next attempt will be to try the steamer but Im not sure why all of a sudden it's like this. It's in the garage and that hasn't been an issue before now…. (sigh)

Has the weather recently changed where you are? Maybe you need to try a different grip (if you use it)?

It's the same, hot hot hot! I just ordered some gloves from mighty grip and they are sending some grip aid powder. I had one from another co. and that has stopped working as well. Pole feels like a coating is on it now even after cleaning.

The studio I used to go to have SS poles, I hated them with a passion, some evenings the slip was so bad we literally could not do anything on them, I tried all the grips I could get my hands on. There were the odd times when they were ok, usually when the weather was humid .

sometimes i think it has something to do with our body chemistry and hormonal changes as well, i know when i became menopausal i could no longer use mighty grip up until then i loved, it now it is of no use.
