    hi girls i was working on sm tonite. i can do fine was working on slowing it down. and one of the indtrucyors said my grip was wrong. i can do cuped but dnt feel safe wen i bring myself to pole. i use veena grip ( one hand cuped the same side as the shoulder i use and my other arm up straight not tg so my palm is towards me) i was told i could injury my wrist doing this. but tg just dosent feel right in sm. used verna grip for months n never felt ne wtist pain. but now im worrid

    It's the twisted grip that can be dangerous to your wrists, not the "forward" grip like in the Veena grip or the grip where both hands are in front. If you take a look at Aerial Amy's blog entry about SMs she has some photos of  the grips:

    I learned mine with the double forward grip and still do them that way a lot — a lot of people seem to hate it, but I really like it. I also like the added security of having 1 or 2 hands wrapped around the pole. Just be careful with a twisted grip SM… some people can do them without issue but others (myself included) it's not a safe grip for the wrist.

    i dnt do tg sm it dose not feel good at all. i loke my veena grip but wanted to check it was safe lol
