Me, too! And the more people that quit, the more people there are to support others as they make that decision. I love it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

I’m so glad I found this thread! I’ve been trying to quit off-and-on for months! I’ll stop for a few days and then start right back up. I quit for 3 yrs. several yrs. ago and was so happy about it, started smoking again a couple yrs. ago and want to get back to smoke-free! When I quit before I used Wellbutrin (Zyban), and it worked really well, and I’m on it again now. Today is my planned quit-day and so far, so good. Now that I’ve found you others going through the same thing I feel so much better and am more determined! I just think how sick it makes me that I fell back into smoking, but I’ll never regret quitting…!!

    Good luck jill.

I am afraid of starting again. Not anytime soon but in a few years. I keep telling myself why I am quitting and why being smoke free is better than smoking.

Isn’t it weird that a stick of tobacco can control every aspect of our lives?

    Thanks Charley!

Yep, those little things have a lot of power unfortunately! I do the same as you, I constantly remind myself of the benefits of not smoking anymore.

Okay, is this normal? To be dreaming about smoking? Knowing you can’t smoke, you don’t want to smoke yet in your dreams you either do smoke or know at some point you are going to. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

I think it is normal Charley! Not only is quiting a physical change but it’s emotional as well. In a way we go through a "mourning" phase…which seems kinda funny if you chose to quit…

I know for me it was a choice and I still had crazy ass thoughts and dreams about smoking…and I still do actually! I try not to ponder on "will I start smoking again" because I feel that if I did I would start back. I fight the thoughts as I do the cravings…one at a time

    I’m proud of you!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
