Awh you're not alone in that feeling tarah! I have been off the pole for almost 2 months now coz of a hip injury. I'm really itching to get back practising, it's been a hell of a year pole wise because I've been sick and injured for a lot of it, I really hope 2012 will be a great pole year for me, with no distractions! I am really excited to get back poling though, even tonight I have already spent hours watching all my favourite pole dancers doing their thing. It's such a pleasure to watch, my hands feel all warm just itching to get back on the pole!! Can't wait!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I know exactly how you feel! I am pregnant and I went through withdraws from pole from 4 weeks away from it. I stumbled back to it, but looooooooooooooooooow key.(am pregnant)I am scared to completely come away from pole b/c I don't want it to take too long to bounce back-but your only a week away. They say at two months away, you still only loose 25% muscle tone. I probably will step away again though aside from Veena's stretching videos and other things non-pole related.(I don't want to have placenta abruption or anything)

At the two week mark-I was seriously depressed!!! I was here everyday though and that helped me…it was really soothing just to be around anything pole.https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Anyway, you'll be back on your pole in no time…

thanks, roamy!  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif  i have never had the pregnancy experience, but i know how hard it can be (watching friends go through it).  hopefully you will be able to continue with stretching, and maybe find a pre-natal yoga class, or dvd if you need some more ideas.  it will all be worth it once your little one arrives!!  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

Sure know how you feel, tarah!  Remember I was sick not too long ago and couldn't pole for three weeks, then still took another week because of lack of energy.  I thought I'l lose a lot and have to start over LOL  However, much to my surprise picked up where I left off.  You will too, get some rest and let your body heal. Can't wait to see you back at it 🙂

hey hookedonpole  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif  yes, i do remember –  and you totally came back with a vengeance!

i will be SO happy if i can just pick up where i left off.  i felt like i was finally making some progress after working on the same moves for months (like the extended butterfly and elbow grip aysha)

i'm so afraid that i will get lazy and weak from all of this inactivity  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif  at least i went for a walk to the mailbox today, lol.

    xoxo
